Chris Yee


Chris began working at Arbor Wellness in January of 2009, and became a business partner in October 2010. He enjoys working with a wide variety of clients, and especially those with athletic-related goals.

Chris Yee, Massage TherapistIn addition to his time at Arbor Wellness, Chris also works as a massage and treatment specialist for more than twenty University of Michigan varsity sports teams. As a former Michigan track athlete, he has a great knowledge of what is needed to keep an athlete ready for the highest-level competition.

He has prior experience in patient care services, having spent more than five years working at MedSport Physical Therapy, where he assisted physical therapy and orthopedic surgery patients in treatment and rehab. Also during this time, he remained active in sports, by coaching local High School football and track, as well as completing a two-year internship as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for Olympic Sports at the University of Michigan.

Chris has both a Bachelors of Science and a Masters of Science degree from the University of Michigan’s School of Kinesiology. Between degrees, he received a massage therapy diploma from the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy, and went on to earn his National Certification in Therapeutic Massage (NCTM). He has also earned the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist distinction (CSCS).

He has been an active professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) since 2005, and has been the AMTA Michigan Chapter Treasurer since being elected in 2010.  Chris has sought out a wide variety of continuing education coursework. He has received advanced training in Active Isolated Stretching, Muscle Energy Technique, Applied Kinesiology, Neurolymphatic reflex treatment, and Strain-Counterstrain method, amongst others.
