Julia Nelson

Julia is an Ontario native, who came to Michigan to attend and row for the University of Michigan. She also spent a summer competing for the U23 Canadian national rowing team. However, after struggling with injuries throughout her undergraduate career, she opted out of rowing her final year. Rather, she started coaching rowing at Skyline High School and began studying at the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy while finishing her degree.

Now a graduate of both schools, and nationally certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, she brings great enthusiasm, and a unique background to her work. Her work tends toward dynamic massage integrating sports massage, stretching, myofascial release and trigger point release, but she is happy to challenge herself to meet the needs
of every client. Julia also teaches classes at the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy.
